Syncell Launches High-Precision Proteomics Discovery Service Powered by Microscoop® Mint Platform
Global program expands access to unbiased nanoscopic proteomic technology to accelerate biomarker identification and drug target discovery
Syncell Inc., a leader in next-generation proteomics analysis, today announced the commercial launch of Syncell Discovery Services, a global sample-to-discovery program that provides biopharma, translational research organizations, and academic institutions with direct access to results from the company’s flagship Microscoop® Mint platform.
As demand rises for higher-resolution tools in biomarker identification, drug target discovery, and disease biology research, Syncell Discovery Services delivers a unique path to unbiased nanoscopic proteomic insights. The highly precise subcellular workflow uncovers features of protein biology that are often inaccessible through conventional spatial proteomics, laser capture, and proximity labeling approaches. Researchers worldwide can now submit samples directly to Syncell for in situ proteomic profiling with subcellular spatial resolution.
"Our lab has extensive experience with spatial proteomics but the general dependence of these methods on antibody panels was a major limitation. We wanted to answer an important spatial biology question involving biophysical interactions between two cell types but the protein adhesion complex involved was completely unknown so we couldn't design an appropriate antibody panel,” said William Hwang, M.D, Ph.D., at Massachusetts General Hospital and Assistant Professor, Harvard Medical School. “We were stuck until we learned about Microscoop. This unbiased spatial optoproteomics approach allowed us, for the first time, to identify candidates in the protein adhesion complex at the whole proteome level, which we are now functionally validating as potential drug targets for cancer."
