The Reservoir Hills Rhinos celebrated a memorable 32‑17 victory over St Francis College recently, securing their first win since returning to competitive rugby and signalling a promising new era for the community club.

The result carries special significance for the club, which closed its doors in 2024 before reopening in 2025 and rebuilding under a new structure. The clash against St Francis was only the Rhinos’ second official competitive match since their return, making the victory a powerful symbol of resilience and renewal.

After St Francis crossed for an early try, the Rhinos responded with determination. Two well‑constructed tries and a successful conversion swung momentum in favour of the home side as their forwards established dominance and the backline displayed confidence and creativity.

“I’m really proud of the way the boys played,” said flyhalf Siya Ngobese.
