Crime drama fans looking for their next fix need look no further as 'one of the best mystery series' is now available08:34, 28 May 2026Updated 08:57, 28 May 2026A 'brilliant' crime drama that has an impressive 89% score on Rotten Tomatoes is available to watch now.U&Drama will be airing series one of thriller series, Art Detectives, which is also available to watch in full on Channel 4 too.A synopsis teases of the show: "Art-loving DI Mick Palmer and DC Shazia Malik work for Heritage Crime, the Met's smallest department-investigating murders and thefts in the shadowy world of art, antiquities, and priceless artefacts."Stephen Moyer takes on the role of DI Mick Palmer while Nina Singh plays DC Shazia Malik. Stephen, 56, is best known for portraying the vampire Bill Compton in the HBO television series True Blood.Other cast members include Sarah Alexander as Rosa Conaghan, Larry Lamb as Ron Palmer, Laoise Sweeney as Helena McGuigan, Pearce Quigley as Charlie Filton, Christopher Villiers as Lord Hugh Astleigh and Patrick Robinson as Sir Clifford Renwick.Airing series one, episode one on Thursday night on U&Drama, a synopsis reads: "DI Mick Palmer, sole member of the Heritage Crime Unit, is dispatched to the Astleigh House in Yorkshire, where art historian Francis Crozier has been murdered."The series first aired in 2025 and it received glowing reviews, as well as an impressive 89% score on Rotten Tomatoes. It has been confirmed for a series two.One person said of the show: "Brilliant crime drama from a different angle", adding: "I only watched this because I adore Stephen Moyer but it really is a great show."There are some brilliant actors who pop up along the way. Larry Lamb is superb as ever. The main characters work really well with each other. The 'will they, won't they' romance that runs throughout is charming.
