National Security Adviser Wi Sung-lac met with Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan on Thursday and discussed the security situation on the Korean Peninsula, while also sharing views on the ongoing Middle East conflict.
Balakrishnan is currently visiting Seoul following back-to-back trips to China and North Korea, where he met with North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui.
Wi and Balakrishnan exchanged views on the security situation on the peninsula while the Singaporean official shared the results of his visit to North Korea from Tuesday to Wednesday, according to the presidential office.
The security adviser voiced hope that the strategic partnership between the countries will deepen and advance through high-level exchanges, the office also said.
