May 28, 2026 – 5.13pmThe Department of Finance has warned KPMG Australia it could be banned from bidding for Commonwealth contracts after the firm repeatedly failed to notify officials about wide-ranging allegations of client data misuse.Senior officials told parliament on Wednesday KPMG’s lack of disclosure had forced them to repeatedly request information.
