Delhi Police Crime Branch apprehended a juvenile for shooting at a 17-year-old boy from close range in Amar Colony, an officer said on Wednesday (May 27, 2026).The incident took place on Tuesday (May 26, 2026) evening when the 17-year-old was having food at a restaurant with his friends. The accused and two of his associates brushed by his chair, leading to an altercation. Following this, the accused left the spot and returned after a few minutes. He shot the victim from close range and fled, said the officer.The victim was shifted to AIIMS Trauma Centre where his condition is said to be critical.An FIR was registered and the probe was taken over by the Crime Branch. Search operations were carried out to find the suspects. The police apprehended the juvenile from his home in south-east Delhi, where he had been staying with his brother, father and grandfather.
