No fewer than 13 people have died following a collision involving a minibus and a truck on a highway in central China.

Traffic police disclosed on Thursday that the accident occurred in the early hours of the day in Henan Province near Nanyang city, which has a population of about nine million people.

According to authorities, the minibus crashed into the truck along the G40 expressway, a major highway linking Shanghai in eastern China to Shaanxi Province in the north.
