RIYADH: Kuwait’s air defenses were confronting missile and drone attacks early Thursday, the army said, after air raid sounded across the country.
Any explosion sounds heard are the result of air defense systems intercepting the attacks, the army said in a note on social media.
“Kuwaiti air defenses are currently engaging hostile missile and drone attacks,” the Kuwaiti army posted on X.
The United States carried out fresh strikes on Iran and Tehran said it had fired at ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran spent weeks attacking Kuwait and other Gulf states with missiles and drones after Israel and the US began a war against Tehran on Feb. 28.
