The Lagos State Government has commenced reforms in its hospitality and tourism sector, aimed at streamlining regulation, simplifying licensing processes and improving investor confidence.

The Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Toke Benson-Awoyinka, said over 500 tourism and hospitality establishments have been enumerated across the state as part of the groundwork for the reforms.

She disclosed this during the annual ministerial press briefing marking the seventh year of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration.

The commissioner said the enumeration exercise would support the creation of a comprehensive database for sector planning, regulation and development.
