Some people look to the Nordic countries like Sweden, Norway and Denmark, where taxes are higher but public services are often stronger and more generous.

Others point to Singapore, which has built a reputation around economic growth, infrastructure, technology and long-term planning.

Then there’s Ireland, often praised for its business-friendly policies and smaller government approach.

Some Kiwis want New Zealand to invest more heavily in healthcare, public transport and social support. Others think we need less bureaucracy, lower taxes and stronger economic growth.
