NewsUK NewsA recent poll of festival fans has revealed the magic moments that make summer music festivals so unforgettableMartin Winter01:00, 28 May 2026Festival fans have lifted the lid on the moments they cherish most - from stumbling across a spotless toilet and a queue-free bar, to striking up an unlikely three-day friendship with a complete stranger.‌A poll of 1,500 festival fans revealed their most treasured memories include a surprise act taking to the stage, finally catching that one song they've been desperate to hear all weekend, and an entire crowd belting out the same lyrics together. Watching the sun go down, and waking up to music already blaring, also ranked amongst their most favourite moments.‌More than two thirds said festivals have created some of the most unforgettable experiences of their lives, and 47% agreed that being able to capture moments on their phone makes the whole occasion feel complete.‌The research was commissioned by Samsung UK & Ireland to mark the launch of the Galaxy A57 5G, which includes features such as Object Eraser and Edit Suggestion to help festivalgoers capture, edit and share the moments they care about most.It revealed that 20% post their favourite festival memories on social media within 24 hours, while 82% said recording content helps them relive the magic long after the event has wrapped up.‌A quarter said they would enjoy a festival less if they were unable to watch it back afterwards, with many reliving fond memories by rewatching videos or browsing through photosHowever, 25% admitted they wished their handset had a feature capable of eliminating photobombers and unwanted background distractions.‌It's not all good times for today's festival-goers, as experiences can swiftly be dampened by common tech headaches.
