(The film, released in theaters on May 15, racked up $17.1 million during its opening weekend.) In 2023, "Sound of Freedom" went up on its second and third weekends. But for horror films, this is a history-making accomplishment."'Obsession' is the ONLY wide-release horror film on record to grow in its second weekend at this scale — $22.4M, up 30% over opening," said Jason Blum, the producer of the film. "This doesn't happen in horror. Grateful to Focus Features, Blumhouse-Atomic Monster, & Divide/Conquer for championing this movie from the start."Here's the film's logline in case you're curious: "After breaking the mysterious 'One Wish Willow' to win his crush’s heart, a hopeless romantic finds himself getting exactly what he asked for but soon discovers that some desires come at a dark, sinister price."The film stars Michael Johnston, Inde Navarrette, Cooper Tomlinson, Megan Lawless and Andy Richter."Obsession" is now playing in theaters. Jacob Elordi Reveals ‘Really Alarming’ Part About Filming THAT Snake Scene Everyone Is Talking AboutIf you watched Sunday's episode of "Euphoria," you might have felt a little claustrophobic watching Nate (Jacob Elordi) yell for help as he laid in a coffin deep underground. But the Australian actor actually felt "quite peaceful" in the tight squeeze, he said in an HBO featurette after the penultimate episode aired."I had to go into this coffin. My shoulders were touching the side, and I couldn't move my arms, and then they would drill the lid on, and it would get dark," Elordi said of the moment. "It was really nice, actually. It was quite peaceful in there."But then, series creator Sam Levinson let a snake slither right on into the coffin. Yes, a real snake; the crew put a fake rattler on a boa constrictor."The snakes were rattling, which is really alarming when you're locked in a box," Elordi said. "He was, like, real cuddly, so he just saddled up next to me, and it was nice," Elordi continued. "But he was real sleepy. I had to kind of nudge him to get him to come up.""Euphoria" streams on HBO Max. The final Season 3 episode airs on Sunday.Read more about the "Euphoria" scene in Entertainment Weekly: Joy Behar Announces Hiatus From ‘The View’Joy Behar is set to go on two-week hiatus from "The View" starting next week. The 83-year-old host is going to Europe to perform her stage play, "My First Ex-Husband," she told show producer Brian Teta on the companion podcast for "The View" called "Behind The Table," TV Insider reported."I fly to Paris this week, and then I go take the tunnel to London after a week, and I'll be in London a second week doing my play, "My First Ex-Husband," at the Boulevard Theatre in the West End," Behar said. "We have Jackie Hoffman and I [playing] the two American women talking, then we have two British actresses. Doesn't that sound like fun?"Comedian Sheryl Underwood, a popular guest co-host on the show, will fill in for a couple days, along with journalist Kara Swisher.Read more at TV Insider below:LaKeith Stanfield Comments On THAT Wild Sex Scene In 'I Love Boosters'LaKeith Stanfield is proud of his tongue-twisting work in "I Love Boosters."At the Los Angeles premiere for the Boots Riley-helmed film, Stanfield spoke about the jaw-dropping scene in which his character Pinky Ring Guy performs fellatio on Whitney (portrayed by his real-life wife Kasmere Trice Stanfield) in an effort to “suck the soul” out of her.“I’d like to say I ate it up. We ate it up collectively,” he told HuffPost in between laughs. “It was actually [originally] more insane than it is in the film, and I kind of brought it down a little bit. But still, I think it does what it needs to do and it's both entertaining and shocking.” Last year, the Stanfields portrayed lovers in another film: "Die My Love," starring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson. This is Stanfield’s second time working with Riley following 2018’s "Sorry to Bother You," and the 34-year-old actor still finds excitement in collaborating with Riley.“With Boots, it's always a great experience 'cause you know you're gonna heighten the contradictions, do something crazy and hopefully evoke thought in people,” he said. “I think the message here is we gotta do this together if we want to make change.”"I Love Boosters" is now playing in theaters.'I Love Boosters' Director Boots Riley On The Power Of Protest: 'We Are Powerless Until We Make Movement'Boots Riley is practicing what he preaches. In his buzzy film "I Love Boosters," in theaters Friday, the 55-year-old director is exploring the power of protest among the working class. When asked if today’s political climate influenced the film, Riley says it actually goes beyond the current moment.“It's what I've been talking about in my work for decades. It wasn't about a specific time,” he told HuffPost at the Los Angeles premiere for the film. Before his acclaimed work as a director, Riley has spent most of his life as a musician and activist in Oakland and the greater Bay Area, where he was raised. In "I Love Boosters," a title lifted from his band’s 2006 song of the same name, Riley cites that togetherness among the working class can create “strategic benefit.”“We are powerless until we make the movement that we need to make,” he asserts. “ And that movement that we need to make right now that can have some effect on power, that can actually cause things to change, is a mass militant radical labor movement, one that can use the withholding of labor as a tactic and strategy to affect capital and demand and hold up capital and demand changes.”"I Love Boosters" is now playing in theaters.'In The Grey' Star Credits Guy Ritchie For Writing A Female Lead Who Is 'The Smartest Person In The Room'There aren’t any grey areas in Eiza González’s most recent roles.Just five months into the year, the 36-year-old actor is racking up the credits with three films that have already been released: "Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice," "I Love Boosters" and "In the Grey."At the Los Angeles premiere for "Boosters," González detailed how empowered she felt by her "In the Grey" character Rachel Wild. In the film, she hires two extraction specialists (Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal) to recover a billion-dollar fortune that was stolen by a tyrannical dictator. “I have to give it to [Guy Ritchie]. He wrote a female character as the lead of the movie, whereas she's the smartest person in the room,” she told HuffPost. “And she’s not pretentious in any way. It feels like a real human being experiencing and trying really hard to get where she wants to be. She's devoid of shame and I respect that.”"In The Grey" is now playing in theaters.'I Love Boosters' Star Eiza González Reveals How Her Work On Telenovelas Set Her Up For SuccessEiza González is grateful for her acting background in soap operas. The 36-year-old actor spent the first six years of her career in over 500 episodes across three Mexican telenovelas: "Lola, érase una ves," "Amores verdaderos" and most notably "Sueña comingo."“[Soaps] really build you up," González told HuffPost at the red carpet for "I Love Boosters" in Los Angeles. "It really makes you expand that muscle of your brain of just really learning dialogue, having good retention, being able to dive in, be fearless. You're just really present, and that was something that I kind of kept trying to chase once I was doing less scenes a day in films. So it was really a great runway for the future of my career.”And when she looks at her "Boosters" co-stars, she sees a future soaps star in one of them.“I made Keke [Palmer] and all the girls do a scene of a soap opera today for TikTok. Keke killed it,” González says, excitedly. “She was speaking Spanish. She gave me a big slap. I was like, "Girl, you have a career. You have a future in soap operas." "I Love Boosters" is now in theaters.'Survivor' Contestant Reacts To Jeff Probst's Wild Finale Spoiler Mistake"Survivor" host Jeff Probst spoiled a huge moment in the live Season 50 finale Wednesday night — preempting the fire-making competition which would determine which contestant made it to the final three. The host called to the stage Rizo Velovic, who competed in back-to-back seasons, and revealed he was the last person on the jury. Unfortunately, audiences at home and in-studio hadn't yet seen Rizo attempt to beat another semi-finalist, Jonathan Young, make fire. Probst clearly didn't realize his misfire as he confusingly tried to wrap the conversation with Rizo, as the in-studio audience and the other contestants whispered and looked on in shock over the live mix-up.“'Survivor' history!” Rizo joked to Entertainment Weekly after the finale. “Jeff was on a Variety interview recently saying that he wants to edit 'Survivor' with the person going home and then showing how they go home. And he did it the next day, and it was me! I made 'Survivor' history.”The finale episode incorporated live moments in Los Angeles and the actual last days of the competition in Fiji.“Never been voted out of 'Survivor,' two times playing, only one of four people ever that happened to," Rizo said. "And also the first finale flub ever in 50 seasons and the RizGod was a part of it. So that's what happened.”In the moment, Rizo knew it was a wildly awkward interaction.“I'm playing off Jeff, and Jeff is talking about fire and I was like: Well, I'm not trying to reveal it. So I’m like, ‘Win or lose, I'm proud of how I played.’ And Jeff's like, ‘Sit your ass on the bench.’ And I'm like: well, this is awkward.""Survivor" is streaming on Paramount+.Read more on Entertainment Weekly:Mike White Recruits These 2 ‘Survivor’ Contestants For ‘The White Lotus’ Season 4Mike White, the creator of HBO's popular series "The White Lotus," couldn't make the live reunion taping of "Survivor 50" on Wednesday night.
