A wealthy billionaire CEO from one of the world’s biggest tech companies has been spotted in a viral video indulging in street food on a visit to Taiwan, with some people frustrated that he used his wealth to skip the queue. Jensen Huang, CEO of software company Nvidia, was captured exploring the Raohe Street Night Market in Taipei on Sunday. Mr Huang and his wife, Lori, were seen wandering the market, trying local food from vendors and posing for photos with fans. In one video posted to X, Mr Huang was seen offering to pay for the other customers waiting in line at a grilled corn stall if he was allowed to skip the line and secure the next available serving.“I buy everybody’s, can I get the first one?” he was heard saying. Fans surrounded the CEO in the video, with many cheering and laughing at his offer, while others attempted to take photos with him. Mr Huang’s visit caused some controversy online as some users commented on his use of wealth to bypass waiting in line. “It’s like rich people throwing money around just to get priority rights. Other people see it as free and just give in,” one user wrote in a translated comment underneath the video. “Standing in line is a matter of culture and respect for others,” another user wrote. “This is an example of presumptuous thinking that money can buy everything.”The Nvidia social media accounts also posted footage of his trip through the market, with one caption reading: “It’s not a trip to Taiwan without a market stop.”In another post, the Nvidia X account also posted Mr Huang leaving his signature and the writing “Jensen was here”, along with the date, in one of the restaurants in the market. Mr Huang often indulges in street food from around the world, with his visit to Beijing as part of President Donald Trump’s meeting with President Xi Jinping also involving a viral moment at a noodle shop. Mr Huang was photographed standing outside a restaurant and indulging in a noodle dish and some yoghurt for dessert. The moment has since prompted the restaurant to name a set menu after him, called the “God of War in leather jacket,” according to the South China Morning Post.Mr Huang first started working as a dishwasher in Portland at 15-years-old, long before he co-founded the multi-billion dollar business Nvidia.
