She came off as she tried to pull up the horse who was fatally injured.Hollie was taken to hospital and gave up her following day mounts at Salisbury on Saturday but vowed, “I’ll be back”.But on Wednesday, speaking to Atheraces.com, she revealed she had broken the tibia and fibula in her left leg and had to undergo surgery next week and there was no timescale for her return to action.“I’m due to have an operation next Tuesday to put plates in the leg. I have an external fixation to keep it stable as it’s a complex fracture," she said.“It’s extremely painful and at this stage I have no timeframe to work to in terms of getting back in the saddle. I know I’m facing a long spell on the sidelines but am committed to getting back as soon as I can.”Hollie has ridden 1,135 British winners in her career, including ten at Group 1 level.Article continues belowShe was on track to ride a century of winner for the seventh year running in 2025 but finished two short of the target because she took up a short term contract offer to ride in Hong Kong.She went on: “I’m due to have an operation next Tuesday to put plates in the leg.
