Trains on demand between Chennai and Tiruchendur will be operated to manage additional passenger rush during Vaikasi Visakam festival at Tiruchendur.Train No.06155 Chennai Egmore – Tiruchendur superfast train would leave Chennai Egmore at 2.30 p.m. on Friday and reach Tiruchendur at 3 a.m. the next day, a statement said.In return direction, Train No. 06156 Tiruchendur – Chennai Egmore Superfast train would leave Tiruchendur at 1.15 p.m. Saturday and reach Chennai Egmore at 11.30 a.m. the next day.The trains would have two AC 2-tier coaches, 12 sleeper class coaches, two general second class coaches and two second class coaches (differently abled friendly), the statement said.The trains would stop at Tambaram, Chengalpet, Melmaruvathur, Villupuram, Vriddhachlam, Ariyalur, Srirangam, Tiruchi, Dindigul, Kodai Road, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti and Tirunelveli.Advance reservation for the trains would begin at 8 a.m. on Thursday.
