American Airlines has confirmed plans to install Starlink's satellite broadband Internet service across more than 500 narrowbody aircraft beginning in Q1 2027.
This offering will cover the American Airlines Airbus fleet, which includes the new A321XLR and A321neo aircraft.

The airline carrier noted that Starlink’s Aero Terminal delivers up to 1Gbps per antenna, allowing passengers onboard to stream, browse, and use real-time communication capabilities across American’s domestic and short-haul international routes.
American Airlines partnership with SpaceX's Starlink builds on an in-flight WiFi deal with mobile carrier AT&T signed last year.
