The Inter-Party Advisory Council and the Allied People’s Movement have called on the Federal Government to intensify efforts in tackling terrorism, banditry and kidnapping across the country.

In separate Eid-el-Kabir messages issued on Wednesday in Abuja, both bodies urged Nigerians to embrace peace, tolerance, sacrifice and patriotism while praying for national unity and security.

The IPAC National Chairman, Yusuf Dantalle, said the council felicitated with Muslims on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir and called on citizens to renew their faith in Allah and the country.

He urged governments at all levels to provide dividends of democracy that would ease the economic hardship facing Nigerians.

According to him, the essence of government remains the security and welfare of the people as enshrined in the 1999 Constitution.
