In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, the Israeli Defence Force said, “Eliminated: Mohammed Odeh - Head of Hamas’ Military Wing in a strike in northern Gaza.”

The Israeli military has announced the killing of Mohammed Odeh, whom it identified as the head of Hamas’ military wing intelligence headquarters, in a strike carried out in northern Gaza.

In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, the Israeli Defence Force said, “Eliminated: Mohammed Odeh - Head of Hamas’ Military Wing in a strike in northern Gaza.”

The Israeli military alleged that Odeh assumed the position following the earlier killing of Izz al-Din al-Haddad and was involved in coordinating Hamas operations linked to the October 7 attack on Israel.

“Odeh served as the Head of Hamas’ military wing's intelligence headquarters following the elimination of Izz al-Din al-Haddad.
