Legendary marathon runner Eliud Kipchoge met Springbok captain Siya Kolisi during his time in Cape Town.
World-renowned marathoner Eliud Kipchoge was in Cape Town to run the 2026 Sanlam Cape Town Marathon, and during his time in the province, he linked up with national treasure Siya Kolisi.
Kipchoge, regarded by many as the greatest marathon runner of all time, finished 16th in 2:13:29 in the highly competitive marathon.
Taking to Instagram, Kipchoge shared pictures of himself with the rugby star and shared how his interaction went and why he is truly an inspiration.
"I can say Siya is a true legend and a real inspiration on and off the field. He shows that no matter where you come from or what your background is, you can achieve great things in life through hard work, belief, and determination," wrote the marathon runner.
