Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LSLGA) has said that the recently-secured free health insurance package launched for 1,320 residents in three Senatorial Districts of Lagos State will cover minor and major surgeries, antenatal and child care, clinical test, general and specialist consultations, family planning, among others.

The free health insurance scheme, offered by the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LSLGA) for one year under ILERA EKO Scheme, is being done in partnership with the Lagos State Health Management Agency (LSHMA), and provides healthcare access for would-be patients in both public and private hospitals as well as the primary healthcare centres within and outside the State.

Speaking during a medical outreach to the residents of Festac recently, Bashir Are, the Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LSLGA), declared that the free health insurance scheme being undertaken for Lagosians is being done based on the directive of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu with a mandate and commitment to improving the wellbeing of Lagos citizens through a series of strategic health interventions.

This programme being created by the Lagos State Health and Management Agency is to provide quality healthcare services for the residents in towns and communities that nake up the Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Areas of Lagos State.
