The United Democratic Alliance has fiercely criticised former President Uhuru Kenyatta, accusing him of harbouring deep bitterness, fierce jealousy, and a toxic obsession with his successor, President William Ruto.
In a sharply worded open letter, the ruling party demanded that the former head of state accept the reality of the 2022 transition and stop undermining the current administration.
"President Uhuru Kenyatta, we have heard you loud and clear," the party stated in its public statement. "First, temper your intense bitterness, fierce jealousy, endless envy, and toxic obsession with William Ruto."
The ruling party asserted that Kenyatta must come to terms with the fact that his preferred political schemes during the last general election failed to materialise.
