President Lee Jae Myung on Wednesday issued a warning to some businesses in Busan that have sharply raised their prices ahead of BTS's concerts there, insisting that using such a shortsighted practice may tarnish the image and eventually the economy of the entire city.
“[Some business in] Busan seems like they need to reform, as [the city] is damaging its reputation because of their so-called price gouging related to the [upcoming] BTS concerts,” Lee said during an event in the southeastern city.

His remarks came one day after leader RM and other members of the group addressed the issue during a livestream, during which they acknowledged that though there is little that they can do to stop the practice, they still hope that businesses that have exorbitantly raised their prices will “give it a break.”
