Amazon launches Echo Dot Max and Echo Studio smart speakers in India

Amazon on Wednesday (May 27, 2026) launched its new Alexa-powered smart speakers: the Echo Dot Max and Echo Studio, in India. Amazon claims that the new Echo Dot Max offers around 3x the bass of Echo Dot (5th Gen) while the Echo Studio has spatial audio with Dolby Atmos.Echo Dot Max uses the Amazon’s AZ3 chip while the Echo Studio runs on AZ3 Pro. These smart speakers feature Omnisense technology which enables automated smart home routines using presence, motion, and temperature detection.Echo Dot Max has a two-way speaker system with a woofer for bass and a custom tweeter. Echo Studio features a woofer and three full-range drivers.Echo Dot Max and Echo Studio come with built-in smart home hubs, supporting multiple connectivity protocols (Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Thread, Matter, Bluetooth) for set up. Echo Dot Max is also the first in the Echo Dot line-up to come with a smart home hub.Users can also connect up to five Echo Studio or Echo Dot Max devices with compatible Fire TV sticks.Echo Dot Max comes in Graphite, Amethyst and Glacier White colours at ₹10,999 on Amazon and Flipkart.
