The most important gap in African entrepreneurship

In March, I was a guest on the Morayo Brown Show.

The studio was full of the kind of energy I rarely encounter in the rooms I usually occupy. Women trying, building, and dreaming out loud despite everything working against them. At that moment, I did two things. I announced a cash grant for one of the guests. And I committed, on national television, to a free four-week mentorship for a small group of women from the audience, women running micro-businesses or trying to build their next small venture from scratch.

I meant it when I said it. Then life continued at its usual pace. Board meetings, masterminds, keynotes, coaching engagements, and book deadlines continued until the date was set and The Possibility Room™ was born.

Four Fridays in May. Fifteen women. One room built on the proposition that possibility is not a privilege. It is a design choice available to anyone willing to enter the right room.
