But if you are bored of eating the same old regular eggs, then food influencer Akshada Desai Lobo has an interesting egg recipe that you must try out. It is called egg ema datshi. For the unversed, ema datshi literally translates to chillies and cheese. It is a traditional Bhutanese delicacy, often served with red or white rice. PS: Ema datshi is also the favourite dish of Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone. Now, Akshada Desai has offered a unique egg twist to the classic ema datshi. Not long ago, the food influencer dropped a video on Instagram, sharing the easy-to-make, homemade recipe of egg ema datshi. According to Akshada, the Bhutan-inspired speciality is creamy, spicy and highly comforting.Egg ema datshi ingredients required1 tsp butter 1 to 2 finely chopped garlic cloves 1 to 2 chopped green chillies2 cheese slices Water as needed 1 tsp of chilli oil 2 eggs Some more chilli oil for garnish Egg ema datshi: How to prepareTo prepare egg ema datshi, start by melting some butter in a pan over medium heat. Next, add finely chopped garlic and sauté briefly until aromatic. Stir in sliced green chillies and cook for another minute to release the aromatic flavour. Pour in a splash of water and allow the mixture to gently simmer. After that, add the 2 cheese slices and keep stirring until they dissolve into a smooth, creamy sauce. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper before removing the pan from the heat.In a separate pan, melt a little butter and carefully crack in the eggs. Lightly season them with a sprinkle of salt, then spoon the cheesy chilli mixture over the top. Let the eggs cook until perfectly set and creamy. Serve immediately while hot and bubbling.
