An Auckland burger joint was victim to daylight robbery in what the owner has described as a “bizarre hospitality moment”.
Over the weekend, a male entered Jax Burger Shack on Ormiston Rd in East Tāmaki and walked out with the restaurant’s telephone.
Owners James Gram and his wife Elizabeth told Stuff they had searched everywhere for the missing phone, thinking it had been misplaced.
“So I had to review a few days worth of footage, surprised to find it had been taken by the guy in the reel,” Gram said.
“He could’ve at least ordered a burger first, but nope, just straight took our phone and walked out.”
