Raspberry Pi’s single-board computers have always been small and cheap as part of the organization’s mission to make computing affordable… well, up until recently anyway. The skyrocketing prices of RAM have caused the company to raise prices several times in the last six months, with some models seeing price hikes of more than 100%.So it’s not surprising to learn that the company isn’t in a rush to release the next Raspberry Pi. In a recent Ask Me Anything session on reddit, several senior Raspberry Pi engineers confirmed that we probably won’t see a Raspberry Pi 6 until 2028 at the earliest. And a Raspberry Pi Zero 3 is probably even further away. Jeff Geerling has a pretty good summary of some of the news from the AMA.The Raspberry Pi 6 probably isn’t coming before 2028, when hopefully RAM prices will have come down a bit. Expect CPU and I/O speed boosts, but no dedicated NPU. www.jeffgeerling.com/blog/2026/ne…[image or embed]— Liliputing (@liliputing.bsky.social) May 25, 2026 at 5:09 PMAmpax is crowdfunding a 10,000 mAh modular power bank has two removable 21700 cell battery cells, letting you quickly swap out cells when you need more power (sort of like having multiple power banks, but marginally more compact, I guess). www.kickstarter.com/projects/207…[image or embed]— Liliputing (@liliputing.bsky.social) May 22, 2026 at 2:35 PMThe AYANEO KONKR Pocket Block is an upcoming handheld game console with a vertical design, Android software, and “AI-driven concepts and features.” No specs, pricing, or availability details have been announced yet. www.ayaneo.com/article/932[image or embed]— Liliputing (@liliputing.bsky.social) May 22, 2026 at 1:38 PMONEXPLAYER X1 Pro handheld gaming PC with 10.95 inch screen and detachable controllers gets a minor spec bump (from Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 to HX 470).
