Stuff Group owner and publisher Sinead Boucher has been appointed First Vice-President of the International News Media Association (INMA), and will take over as President of the global industry body in 2028.

Her upcoming presidency will coincide with INMA’s 100th year of operation.

Boucher, who became the first New Zealander appointed to the INMA Board in 2022, will serve her two-year term as First Vice-President alongside the organisation's new President, Siv Juvik Tveitnes, who serves as CEO of Schibsted in Norway.

Announcing the appointment, INMA Executive Director and CEO Earl Wilkinson said the organisation was thrilled at welcoming her to the executive tier.

“Sinead brings something rare to this role: deep operating experience, a journalist’s instincts, and a genuine commitment to the global community of news publishers,” Wilkinson said. “Our members will benefit enormously from her judgement and I look forward to working alongside her in the year ahead.”
