Terra Quantum and Merqury Deploy Live Post-Quantum Secure Optical Network Link in Malta
Terra Quantum AG has successfully implemented its proprietary Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) hardware platform onto a live, production-grade telecommunications network in Malta. Executed in technical collaboration with local developer Merqury Cybersecurity and network operator Melita Business, the deployment establishes a post-quantum secure data link connecting two primary commercial data centers. The installation functions as a core operational framework under the Physical Security for Public Infrastructure in Malta (PRISM) project, a targeted initiative co-funded by the European Union within the broader European Quantum Communication Infrastructure (EuroQCI) mandate to secure cross-border digital logistics.
