The Democratic Republic of Congo’s football federation FECOFA has asked FIFA to refund World Cup tickets purchased by supporters unable to travel to the United States because of Ebola-related restrictions.

The Leopards are preparing for their first appearance at the World Cup since 1974, but the ongoing Ebola outbreak in central and East Africa has created major uncertainty for fans hoping to watch the tournament in person, BBC reports.

The World Health Organization declared the outbreak a public health emergency on May 16 after more than 900 suspected cases and 223 suspected deaths were reported across the region.
