NewsUK NewsA 30 year old man has been arrested on suspscion of murder after Keeley Aspinall was found dead at a flat in Rochdale on May 2617:09, 26 May 2026A 44-year-old woman at the centre of a murder investigation in Greater Manchester has been named locally.‌Keeley Aspinall, known as Kiki to friends and loved ones, was found dead at a flat in Rochdale on Monday afternoon.‌Her body was discovered after officers were called to a property on Tweedale Street at around 4pm after receiving a welfare call. She was pronounced dead at the scene.‌A man in his 30s has since been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody for questioning, police said in a statement. An enquiry in underway to establish the full circumstances behind her death.In a tribute, her family said: “Gone too soon.. we can’t believe you are gone. We will always love you and miss you, love all your family xx.”‌A family friend later told the Manchester Evening News that Keeley was “like a sister” to her, adding "She was the best friend anyone could ask for. I'm going to miss her so much, she will always be in my heart."Tributes to Keeley have also poured in on social media. Naomi Parkinson posted: "Oh this is heartbreaking I knew Keeley from my younger days x condolences to all her family xx."Paul Ashi posted: "Lovely girl full of fun never a dull moment with her around." Meanwhile, Eleanor Smith added: "She was so lovely r.i.p keeley. so sad she was such a beautiful person to get to know condolences to her family xxx."‌A cordon was put in place while officers carried out door-to-door enquiries at the property, while forensics investigators were also present at the scene.Temporary Detective Chief Superintendent Jamie Daniels from the GMP’s Major Incident Team, said in a statement on Monday: "We appreciate this incident is likely to cause some distress amongst the public and local community.
