adsNigeria’s insurance industry is gaining fresh international credibility as the Nigerian High Commission in the United Kingdom endorsed the growing global engagement of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB), describing its consistent participation at the British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA) Conference as a strong positive projection of the Nigerian brand and a catalyst for industry growth.
The endorsement comes amid ongoing reforms in the sector, particularly the implementation of the Nigerian Insurance Industry Reform Act (NIIRA 2025), which stakeholders believe could reposition the industry for stronger contribution to economic development.
Speaking during a reception for the NCRIB delegation in the UK, Aminu Mohammed Dalhatu, Nigerian high commissioner said the Council’s sustained presence and professional contributions at the annual BIBA Conference had helped improve Nigeria’s image internationally while reinforcing confidence in the country’s insurance market.
Dalhatu noted that the conduct of the NCRIB delegation over the years had remained exemplary, with no reported breach of international travel protocols, adding that the group had become a model for responsible institutional representation abroad.
