The National Consumer Commission (NCC) has announced the recall of 146 Hino 300 series vehicles in South Africa.

According to the consumer watchdog, the affected vehicles may contain a faulty component in the combination meter circuit board, which could cause the speedometer and odometer to malfunction.

The recall applies to Hino 300 series models distributed nationally between 14 March and 19 October 2025.

"The affected models include XZU600R, XZU650R, XZU720R, and XZU730R.
