The pair revealed the incredible discovery in a video on TikTok, with the overlaid caption: "Look what we found in this thrifted dresser!!"‌The clip was posted by Heirloom House, a furniture restoration studio based in Jacksonville, Florida, USA. The video shows a torch being shone into the back of the dresser - revealing something surprising hidden inside.‌A folded bundle of cash can be seen wedged between two pieces of wood. "That's a good bit of money," the man says. His wife adds: "I think that might be a 20 on the outside." He replies: "It might be."‌The woman wedges the banknotes out with a screwdriver, before saying: "Oh that's a 50!" "Holy c***," her husband replies. She unfolds the bundle to reveal a $100 note at the centre, prompting them both to gasp and laugh in shock. "There's like 500 bucks in there probably!" the man says. The woman then slowly counts out the bundle, remarking: "Look how old they are!" Slowly counting out the bundle, it is revealed it contains ten $50 (£37) notes, adding up to $500 (£371), and a $100 (£74) bill, making a total of $600 (£445).‌The man exclaims: "600 bucks baby! They're all old, man. I haven't seen 100s and 50s folded like that." His wife adds: "This is insane."Looking into other sections of the dresser, he continues: "Let's see if there's anything else anywhere else, because someone put that there intentionally, love." "I know! To hide it!," she replies. He finds a gold coin in a plastic protective case, with a cartoon-style dragon on one side and symbols on the other. "It's fake, but it's cool," he says. "Something like a Chinese good luck coin kind of thing I guess. He's cute, whatever he is."‌The couple continue to investigate other parts of the dresser, but don't find anything else. The caption of the clip read: "I cannot believe this!! This is the first time we’ve ever found anywhere close to this much! Holy cow y’all! We are incredibly blessed!"Content cannot be displayed without consentIn a later video, the woman revealed all but one of the banknotes featured dates between 1963 and 1969, while one dated back to 1950. This does not indicate when the note was printed, rather when the design featured on them was first used.Article continues belowPeople were amazed by the finding, with many commenters urging the couple to get the bills and the coin valued. One said: "Bring to a coin shop. They will help you to preserve and value your bills. Probably worth more than face value."Another wrote: "Get those bills looked at, they [are] probably worth more." They added: "Depending on the year, the $50s alone are almost doubled value."Someone else wrote: "That’s someone’s ‘run money’. I hope they’re okay." And another said: "That $600 back when it was hidden was probably like $6,000."
