On Tuesday, May 26, Iranian media outlets published a written message from the third Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic. In this message, issued on the occasion of the Hajj pilgrimage, Mojtaba Khamenei claimed that the United States “will no longer have a haven for establishing military bases in the region.”

Without providing further details regarding the status of U.S. military bases in the Persian Gulf littoral states, Khamenei emphasized that “the territories of the region will no longer serve as a shield for these bases.”

The son of the Islamic Republic’s former leader also referenced previous statements made by his predecessor regarding Israel, claiming that the country is approaching “the final stages of its existence” and “will not see the next 25 years.”

Previously, in 2015, following the JCPOA nuclear agreement, Ali Khamenei stated that Israel “will not exist in 25 years.”

In another section of the message, the importance of the “Disavowal of Polytheists” ritual during this year’s Hajj was underscored, with claims that its scope extends beyond the Hajj rituals and will continue within Iran and other nations, accompanied by repeated slogans against the United States and Israel among certain groups.
