NEW DELHI, May 26. /TASS/. The countries of the Quadrilateral Dialogue on Security and Development (QUAD), which brings together India, Australia, the United States and Japan, have expressed concern over the use of non-market policies and economic coercion in trade, according to a joint statement adopted after the meeting of QUAD foreign ministers in New Delhi on Tuesday.
"We reiterate our grave concerns over the use of economic coercion and non-market policies and practices including arbitrary export restrictions, price manipulation, and disruptions particularly on critical minerals that impact global supply chains and critical industrial sectors," the document says.
The parties underscored "the importance of diversified and reliable global supply chains and the need to avoid reliance on any one country."
"We acknowledge that economic security is fundamental to Quad partners and the Indo-Pacific region, and commit to deepening economic security cooperation and develop key initiatives to support a resilient and prosperous region," the statement notes.
