Volvo is integrating over 20,000 Tesla Supercharger stations in Europe into its own smartphone app.
EV owners will no longer have to use the Tesla app to top up at Superchargers in 29 European countries.
The DC fast chargers join Volvo’s huge list, which already includes over 1.2 million plugs in Europe and 120,000 chargers in North America.
Volvo EV drivers in Europe will get to enjoy Tesla Superchargers without having to deal with Tesla’s software experience.
That’s because starting in the fourth quarter of this year, Volvo drivers will be able to use the company’s own smartphone app instead of the Tesla app to manage Supercharger sessions. The move adds over 20,000 Supercharger stations in 29 European countries to the Volvo app, with most of them located in key markets like Germany, France, Norway, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy, and Spain.
