Parliaments impeachment committee has been fully constituted after the ANC and EFF submitted nominees, finalising Parliament’s panel that will assess grounds for inquiry into the Phala Phala matter.

Parliament's impeachment committee is now fully constituted after the African National Congress (ANC) and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) submitted their nominees to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Thoko Didiza.

Didiza received the names of Members of Parliament who will serve on the impeachment committee on Monday, marking the completion of the list.

The process followed a deadline set for last Friday, with most political parties submitting on time.

Parliament confirmed that the ANC had initially indicated it would submit its nominees over the weekend before finalising its list.
