MOSCOW, May 26. /TASS/. The Russian stock market was declining at the opening of the main trading session, according to Moscow Exchange data. The yuan was also weakening against the ruble.
As of 10:00 a.m. Moscow time, the MOEX and RTS indices were down 0.23% at 2,592.34 points and 1,141.43 points, respectively. The yuan-to-ruble exchange rate fell by 2.5 kopecks to 10.582 rubles.
By 10:15 a.m. Moscow time, the MOEX index had accelerated its decline and stood at 2,588.76 points (-0.36%), while the RTS index was at 1,139.85 points (-0.36%). At the same time, the yuan extended losses to 10.5775 rubles (-2.95 kopecks).
