MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) will set up help desks to assist victims of last Saturday’s blaze that displaced over 2,500 families at the Parola Compound in Binondo, Manila.
“A sufficient number of our personnel were sent not only to secure evacuation centers but also to coordinate with the local government unit in providing other necessary assistance,” PNP chief Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said in a statement on Tuesday.
