Marcos Jr. earlier declared May 27 as a regular holiday nationwide in observance of Eid’l Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice. </p><!-- /wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><p>This declaration was recommended by the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos following the 1447 Hijrah Islamic Lunar Calendar.</p><!-- /wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><p><strong>READ: <a href="https://newsinfo.inquirer.net/2232380/palace-on-eidl-adha">Palace declares May 27 regular holiday in observance of Eid’l Adha</a></strong></p><!-- /wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><p>In line with the Labor Advisory No. 09, the Dole said that the pay guidelines must be followed:</p><!-- /wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:list --><ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --><li>Employees who will not be working on this day will be entitled to 100% of their wage “provided that the employee reports to work or is on leave of absence with pay on the day immediately preceding the regular holiday.” (basic wage x 100%)</li><!-- /wp:list-item --><!-- wp:list-item --><li>It added that “[w]here the day immediately preceding the regular holiday is a non-working day in the establishment or the scheduled rest day of the employee, he or she shall be entitled to holiday pay if the employee reports to work or is on leave of absence with pay on the day immediately preceding the non-working day or rest day.”</li><!-- /wp:list-item --><!-- wp:list-item --><li>Those who will be working on this day shall receive a total of 200% of their wage for the first eight hours.
