I remain bullish on Google, as I believe Gemini Spark will open new doors for the company’s long-term growth. It showed how deeply integrated Gemini is becoming across Alphabet’s ecosystem. While competition in AI remains intense, I think Google I/O made Google’s long-term growth opportunity look broader and more commercially viable than the market currently appreciates.

Gemini Spark Will Lead to ARPU Growth

One of the reasons for my bullish stance on the rollout of Gemini Spark is my belief that Spark will drive average revenue per user (ARPU) growth by moving low-tier Gemini subscribers into higher-paying tiers. Gemini Spark, which will initially be available in the U.S. this summer, brings several agentic AI features to Gemini, including the ability to automate e-mail responses, work with local files, and even complete purchases online.

Alongside the introduction of Gemini Spark last week, Google rolled out a new Gemini AI Ultra tier priced at $100/month. Spark is also bundled into the top-of-the-line Gemini AI Ultra Premium tier, which has been adjusted to $199/month. This pricing strategy is likely to encourage lower-tier Gemini AI Plus subscribers paying $7.99/month and AI Pro subscribers paying $19.99/month to migrate to higher tiers to access agentic AI capabilities.
