The All Progressives Grand Alliance has declared former Senator Stella Oduah winner of the Anambra North senatorial primary election conducted by the party on May 23.
Oduah, a former Minister of Aviation and ex-senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District, polled 22,076 votes across the seven local government areas that make up the district, defeating her closest rival, Primus Odili.
In a statement released on Monday, APGA’s National Publicity Secretary, Ejimofor Opara, said the election was conducted peacefully across all 99 wards in Anambra North Senatorial District, with results announced at the ward level.
Opara noted that computations circulating by some aspirants regarding the collation of results for the Anambra North Senatorial District primary election were not authentic and should not be relied upon.
According to him, the basis for the computations was incorrect and no credible result could be derived from such faulty calculations.
