Khadija Shaw has committed her future to Manchester City by signing a new four-year contract with the Women’s Super League champions.The WSL Golden Boot winner’s contract was due to expire this summer and it was expected she could leave the club with Chelsea making a contract offer worth at least £1million per year for the 29-year-old.But during the club’s joint parade with the men’s team on Monday in Manchester, it was confirmed the Jamaica forward, who scored 21 WSL goals this season, would be staying.It all seemed to happen in slow motion during the celebrations. Shaw’s future was mentioned, there was some confusion, an awkward glance or two and then the confirmation from Shaw herself.“I’m still here, I’m still hungry and there’s no place I’d rather be,” she told the crowdThere were huge cheers in the arena, which was packed and full of emotion and energy.
