KPA raised Likoni ferry tariffs on May 22, from Sh75/trip for motorcycles to Sh2,125/metre for extra-heavy trucks, with loaded trailers at Sh7,950 flat. Operators warn the hike will cascade into higher freight rates across the Mombasa-South Coast corridor, adding cost pressure to logistics and last-mile distribution supply chains.
