A bride-to-be has sparked intense debate online after admitting she chose not to include one of her close friends in her bridal party because of ongoing financial issues within their friendship.
The woman shared her story on Reddit’s AITA (Am I the A**hole) forum under the username Weddin_Secretary5876, explaining that while planning her wedding, she made the difficult decision to leave her friend “Sara” out of the bridesmaid line-up.
Although she described Sara as “a lovely person”, the bride said money had become a recurring source of tension within their friendship group.
“She is a lovely person, but has ongoing financial struggles, poor money habits, and expects people to cover for her,” the bride said.
According to the post, the group often goes out together, but Sara allegedly struggles to contribute financially and sometimes relies on others to pay for meals, outings, or shared expenses.
