The YSRCP president and former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday launched a sharp attack on the Andhra Pradesh government over the conduct of the Mega DSC teacher recruitment process, alleging large-scale irregularities, paper leaks and manipulation in the examinations conducted under the coalition government. In a strongly worded post on X, Mr. Jagan questioned Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu whether the recruitment exercise was a genuine “Mega DSC” or a “fraudulent DSC” aimed at deceiving lakhs of unemployed youth aspiring for government teaching jobs.He alleged that the recruitment process was riddled with paper leaks, deletion of candidate data, missing merit lists and lack of transparency. Mr. Jagan accused the government of scrapping the DSC notification issued during the previous YSRCP regime, delaying recruitment for political reasons and later issuing a fresh notification merely for publicity. The former Chief Minister claimed that the entire exercise had eventually turned into what he termed a “Mega Leak” and “Mega Corruption” scandal, causing injustice to deserving candidates.Raising serious allegations against the Education Department, Mr. Jagan questioned how an SCERT outsourcing employee allegedly linked to the examination process secured the first rank in the DSC examinations. He further alleged that the individual’s details were later removed from official records and questioned why the merit lists were not made public. The YSRCP chief also accused the government of informing selected candidates through SMS messages instead of publicly displaying the selection lists at District Collector offices, as is the standard practice. He alleged that sports quota posts were sold through middlemen allegedly connected to the ruling party for up to ₹15 lakh each.According to Mr. Jagan, fake sports certificates were issued to ineligible candidates, while genuinely talented unemployed youth were denied opportunities. He questioned whether teacher recruitment had been reduced to an “auction” conducted through private negotiations. The former Chief Minister also sought an explanation for the replacement of the original TET Convener with a Joint Director from the Education Department as DSC Convener, alleging that the move had raised doubts over the integrity of the recruitment process.Demanding accountability, Mr. Jagan urged Mr. Naidu to immediately remove Education Minister Nara Lokesh from the Cabinet and order a CBI inquiry into the alleged DSC scam.He said only an independent investigation could ensure justice for deserving candidates and restore confidence among unemployed youth across Andhra Pradesh.
