MOSCOW, May 25. /TASS/. Russia’s Battlegroup North’s snipers are successfully hunting long-range Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), the sniper team commander, call sign Nemi, told TASS. According to him, their sights and skills allow them to engage drones at high altitudes, working in conjunction with mobile air defense teams to counter UAVs in the Kursk Region.
"We, snipers, believe that we are most useful in the work of mobile air defense teams to counter enemy UAVs. We have observation equipment, sights, an understanding of bullet ballistics, and an understanding of how to adjust them," the sniper said.
He noted that sniper teams, consisting of several people, are fully mobile and can carry out drone-hunting missions for up to seven days.
"We are mobile, we can move to the launch points of Ukrainian drones, and our assets allow us to quickly deploy and engage the drones in a timely manner," he added.
According to him, the sniper groups work in full coordination with other mobile air defense teams to achieve maximum effectiveness in destroying enemy long-range UAVs.
