A Divisional Executive Engineer of the Irrigation and Command Area Development (I&CAD) Department was caught red-handed allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹50,000, by the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Hanumakonda on Monday (May 25, 2026).According to an ACB press note, Ganti Srikanth, presently working as Divisional Executive Engineer at Palakurthi in Warangal district, was trapped while allegedly accepting the bribe amount from a complainant at his residence in Bhavani Nagar, Hanumakonda.The ACB stated that the official had allegedly sought the bribe to “record the final measurements in M-books and process the bills” related to the construction of 10 double-bedroom houses (2BHK) executed by the complainant. The works had reportedly been pending since September 2022. Officials said the cash was recovered from the possession of the accused officer.The accused officer will be produced before the Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases in Warangal.
