To strengthen its presence in the home healthcare market, Oxymed has announced the launch of SleepEasy 2 AutoCPAP. SleepEasy 2 is the company’s latest automatic positive airway pressure device designed for patients undergoing sleep apnea therapy at home.Priced at Rs 46,000, the SleepEasy 2 AutoCPAP comes with a three-year warranty and brings several major upgrades over the previous generation, including integrated wireless SpO2 monitoring, enhanced cloud connectivity, and heated tube support, said a statement.According to the company, one of the key highlights of the SleepEasy 2 AutoCPAP is the addition of wireless SpO2 and pulse rate monitoring. The device can now display real-time SpO2 levels and pulse rate directly on the screen alongside essential therapy parameters such as AHI, P95 pressure, and mask leakage. While AHI, P95, and leakage monitoring were available in the earlier generation, SpO2 and pulse rate tracking have now been added as significant upgrades aimed at providing more comprehensive therapy insights.According to the Bengaluru-based company, the SleepEasy 2 also becomes the first Oxymed AutoCPAP device to feature a heated tube system. Heated tube technology helps reduce condensation buildup inside the tubing, commonly referred to as “rainout,” while also maintaining comfortable airflow temperature during therapy. This can improve patient comfort, particularly in colder environments or air-conditioned rooms, and may contribute to better therapy compliance. In terms of connectivity, the company has introduced upgraded Wi-Fi capabilities allowing users to directly enter Wi-Fi credentials on the device itself for seamless cloud connection and automatic nightly data synchronization.Additionally, the SleepEasy 2 includes a dedicated SIM card slot with Airtel 4G support, enabling the device to function as a cloud-connected 4G therapy system without requiring Wi-Fi pairing. Once a SIM card is inserted, therapy data can be automatically uploaded to the cloud platform, allowing easier remote monitoring and data access for clinicians and providers. The device also features an integrated SD card slot capable of storing up to two years of therapy data locally, offering extended storage and convenient long-term therapy tracking. From a design perspective, the SleepEasy 2 introduces an upgraded user interface and control system. Unlike the first-generation model which primarily relied on a rotary knob, the new device now combines the control knob with two dedicated physical buttons — a Therapy Start/Stop button and a Home button. The AutoCPAP can also connect with Android applications and Windows-based software platforms for detailed therapy analysis and patient data review. With the launch of SleepEasy 2, Oxymed says it aims to strengthen its presence in the sleep therapy segment by offering advanced monitoring, cloud-enabled connectivity, and enhanced patient comfort features in a next-generation PAP therapy device.Oxymed is a leading Indian brand in the respiratory care segment, offering a wide range of oxygen concentrators, CPAP/BiPAP devices, and sleep therapy solutions. The company says it offers affordable, yet feature-rich medical equipment tailored for both homecare users and hospitals.
